Acceptance of Terms

By using TrackPDF, you agree to these terms of service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. You must be at least 18 years old to use TrackPDF.

Service Description

TrackPDF provides temporary PDF hosting with analytics tracking. Features include:

• PDF upload and tokenised link generation
• Viewer analytics (page views, time spent, device info)
• Admin dashboard for analytics viewing
• Automatic deletion after 3 days (free tier)

Premium features may offer extended limits and retention periods.

User Responsibilities

You must:

• Have legal rights to upload and share the PDFs you submit
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Respect intellectual property rights
• Keep your admin links secure and confidential

You must not:

• Upload malware, viruses, or malicious content
• Upload copyrighted material without authorization
• Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, or harmful
• Upload special category data (medical, financial, etc.) without lawful grounds
• Use the service for phishing, spam, or fraudulent purposes
• Attempt to circumvent security measures or rate limits
• Reverse engineer or exploit the service

Token-Based Access

Security model: Access to PDFs and analytics is controlled solely by tokenised links. Anyone with a share link can view the PDF. Anyone with an admin link can view analytics.

Your responsibility: Treat these links like passwords. We cannot prevent unauthorized access if you share links publicly or insecurely.

No password protection: Links are not password-protected by default. Premium users may access additional security features.

Data Retention and Deletion

• Free tier: All PDFs and analytics are automatically deleted after 3 days
• Manual deletion: You may request immediate deletion by contacting support with your admin token
• No recovery: Once deleted, data cannot be recovered

Analytics and Privacy

When viewers access your PDF, we collect analytics including:

• Page views and navigation patterns
• Time spent per page
• Device and browser information

Your obligation: If you share a PDF with viewers in the EU or other privacy-regulated regions, ensure you have lawful grounds to collect this analytics data. We provide the tools; you control the purpose.

Viewers are shown a short notice that analytics are collected for the uploader and must accept before continuing.

Service Availability

TrackPDF is provided "as is" without any warranties:

• We do not guarantee 100% uptime
• We may modify or discontinue the service at any time
• We are not responsible for any data loss
• We recommend keeping backups of important PDFs

Service Limits

File Upload Limits (All Tiers):

• Maximum file size: 50 MB
• Maximum page count: 100 pages
• Files exceeding limits must be split before uploading

Tier Features:

• Free tier: 3-day retention, basic analytics, first 10 pages viewable only (for PDFs with >10 pages)
• Premium ($9): +30 days retention per purchase, can be purchased multiple times up to 365 days maximum, advanced analytics, all pages viewable
• Premium Plus ($44): 365 days retention from upload, one-time purchase (only available as first upgrade), advanced analytics, all pages viewable

Files larger than 50 MB should be split into smaller PDFs. We reserve the right to adjust limits or throttle usage to maintain service quality.

Prohibited Use

We may remove content or suspend access without notice if you:

• Violate these terms
• Upload illegal or harmful content
• Engage in abuse or misuse
• Generate excessive load or attempt denial of service
• Use the service for purposes we deem inappropriate

Liability Limitations

No warranties: The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Limitation of liability: We are not liable for:

• Data loss or corruption
• Unauthorized access due to shared links
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Indirect, consequential, or punitive damages

Maximum liability: Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (if any).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from:

• Your use of the service
• Content you upload
• Your violation of these terms or applicable laws

Payment Terms (Premium Users)

• Billing: Pay-per-extension model - purchase 30-day blocks or full year upfront
• Premium ($9/30 days): Adds 30 days to your PDF retention, can be purchased multiple times up to 365-day maximum from upload date
• Premium Plus ($44/365 days): Sets PDF retention to 365 days from upload, one-time purchase only available as first upgrade from free tier
• Maximum retention: All PDFs automatically deleted after 365 days from upload, regardless of tier
• Refunds: No refunds after payment is processed (you can test with free tier first)
• Upgrade restrictions: Premium Plus only available as first upgrade. After selecting Premium, you can only add more 30-day extensions.
• Price changes: We may adjust pricing for future uploads with notice

Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to PDFs you upload. By uploading, you grant TrackPDF a temporary license to:

• Store and serve your PDF to viewers
• Track analytics on the PDF

This license expires when your PDF is deleted (after retention period expires).

Termination

We reserve the right to:

• Remove any content that violates these terms
• Block access from abusive users or IP addresses
• Terminate the service at any time

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable international laws. Disputes will be resolved in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where the service is operated.

Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
